Quick Q&A - mobile/podcast content
! What does Video-Fu provide?
Video-Fu is a content showcase and distribution channel for original content, film shorts, covering a variety of genres. A content syndication agreement will allow you to promote those videos as part of your content, as a service to your users/audience. The content creators provide original scripted short films, music videos, animations, web episodes (webisodes) etc and declare all rights and clearances before uploading.

! Will I have the right to show those film shorts and videos?
Yes. Provided the videos are distributed with full content creator information, and the rights of the original creator are observed, you can use the video as part of your content channels as long as it is part of a Video-Fu feed and covered by a distribution agreement. Please note that our agreement with the content creators reserves their right to explore other distribution and sales rights, and subsequently withdraw their content, given the appropriate notice. This will be reflected in the next scheduled feed update.

! How do I receive the videos?
All Video-Fu content is categorised by several XML feeds, depending on agreement. The standard XML feed will allow you to present selected information to your end user and serve the videos, xml and thumbnails directly from our servers. A custom agreement will setup a DTD specifically to your needs, and ftp transfer assets to a cache or server within your own network, provided the original terms of distribution remain valid.

! Can I pick and choose the type of content I wish to use?
Yes, each xml feed comes with tags highlighting genre, classification, target audience rating, etc, allowing you to selectively choose which content you show. You can even pre-select based on file format and encoding.

! How much will it cost?
Nothing. For a syndicated feed over your existing channels, there is no charge. However, this comes with certain conditions, such as crediting the original creator, not re-distributing to further content aggregators etc. See T&C for full terms.

! Can I charge for the content to my end-users?
No. The original creators are sharing their work in order to promote their talent and content. Unless you wish to enter into a private distribution agreement with them, the content should be freely accessible over your existing distribution channels. An exception to this would be where you already bill your customers a fixed fee for access to syndicated videos which does not soley include the Video-Fu feed and any agreed feeds come as part of that overall package.

! How do I contact the original content creator?
All content creators/uploaders are registered members of the Video-Fu forums and can be contacted through their profiles, as well as having contact email addresses, and possibly existing websites. For syndicators with requirements for custom feeds, this information can be inserted into the xml.
